Filda is the Chairperson of Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). She received her bachelor degree in chemical engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). She also holds a master degree in business and management (MBM) at Università degli Studi di Padova (Italy) and a master of business administration (MBA) at Nanyang Business School (Singapore). Her passion for research led her to continue for a doctoral degree at Faculty of Business and Economics, Monash University (Australia), in which she was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in 2017. Her doctoral dissertation focused on economic and financial issues in households and small businesses in Indonesia. Currently, she is also an economic lecturer at Universitas Prasetiya Mulya. At PYC, she aims to expand her research interest on some particular issues in energy poverty and financial access to energy. Outside managing PYC, she simply enjoys reading, traveling or spending time with her family.
Ria is a treasurer for Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). She currently sits on the board of commissioners at a growing media and digital communication company. Her past work experiences include deals in industrial law and once achieved success leading a retail, cosmetic company by rapid, increased revenues and numbers of outlets across Indonesia. She holds a bachelor degree in law from Universitas Trisakti. During her free time, she enjoys reading law books, practicing yoga and traveling.
Amelia leads the Secretariat Office for The Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). She is a member of the Board of Commissioners at one of the fastest growing company that focuses on high-end retail products. She is also a Director in start-up company that focuses on technology-based solution for micro and small enterprises. She holds a bachelor and professional degree (drg.) in dentistry from Universitas Indonesia (UI). During her spare time, Lia enjoys traveling, reading books, and baking.
Purnomo Yusgiantoro is the Founder of the Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). He received his bachelor degree (Ir) in Petroleum Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung, Indonesia; MSc in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, USA; MA in Economics from University of Colorado, USA; and PhD in Mineral Economics from Colorado School of Mines, USA. Since 2014, Purnomo dedicates much of his time, knowledge, and skills to teach the subject of energy economics at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). Also, Purnomo is the Co-founder of Universitas Pertahanan (Unhan), Indonesia, where he teaches the subject of energy security until now. He is now a senior advisor for Executive Office of the President Republic of Indonesia.
He has vast experiences working and contributing in the energy and defense sector of Indonesia. He worked as a consultant for the World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB) in the field of energy economics and sustainable development. He also acted as the Chairman of Board of Commissioners for Pertamina. Purnomo also has held a position as Vice Governor of National Defense Agencies (Lemhannas). Purnomo was the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of Republic of Indonesia for three consecutive terms, from year 2000 until 2009. He also held the position of Minister of Defense of Republic of Indonesia between 2009 and 2014. In the global sphere, Purnomo served as the Governor of Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its Secretary General as well as President, based in Vienna, Austria. He also carried the responsibility as the Chairman of the ASEAN Ministers of Energy Meeting (AMEM). He continues his devotion to the energy sector development by establishing PYC in 2016.
