Massita Ayu Cindy

Researcher at Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center

Massita Ayu Cindy is a researcher at Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center (PYC). She is currently a doctoral student at the School of Strategic & Global Studies, Universitas Indonesia, under the scholarship program from Purnomo Yusgiantoro Center.

At PYC, she coordinates research in energy economy and financing. She is also in charge of community and engagement partnerships. She has been involved in various energy research projects such as geothermal feasibility study, Indonesia’s manufacturing industry review from the energy perspective, biogas implementation in rural areas, mini LNG feasibility study, Indonesia’s natural gas price adjustment and crowdfunding for NRE alternative financing. She has contributed writing in many articles, opinions and research papers subject to energy-related issues such as biomass and natural gas.

Aside from research activities, she also actively participated in various energy-related events. For example, as an Indonesia’s delegate at Student Energy Summit in London, a jury on IPest-PYC Business Case Competition, jury on National Youth Summit for Renewable Energy (NYSRE) 2020, and as well as guest lecturer, speaker, and moderator on numerous events at universities and seminars.

Outside her work at PYC, she loved designing things, singing, eating, traveling, hang out with friends, and shopping. She also prefers to chill out and unwind to recharge her energy.

She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) through a fast track program which allows her to finish both degrees within five years.
